Who’s Clara?

Clara is an animator-turned-nail artist based in Los Angeles, California. She spent 2018 to 2025 working as a color designer for TV shows, but when the animation industry hit a historically bumpy patch she knew she had to broaden her horizons. Gel nail art had entered her life in 2024, and what started as a potential new hobby blossomed into a bona fide fixation!

Clara loves every aspect of nail art and manicures: it’s way more tactile than looking at a screen, there’s so much room for experimentation with materials, and the challenge of applying huge inspiration to ten tiny canvases delights her. Most of all, the connection you can form with someone is immediate. Everyone has nails, and almost everyone has opinions!
